Controlling your personal information:
Salisbury Motorcycle and Light Car Club Ltd. (hereafter referred to as “SM&LCC” or “The Club”) is affiliated to the Auto Cycle Union of Great Britain (ACU) and when a Club Member joins or renews their membership they automatically become an Affiliated Member of the ACU and their data is shared with the ACU.
SM&LCC is committed to ensuring members' personal information is held in a secure area.
The information retained will come from individual’s Membership Application Forms & Club activity entry forms. Members (and non-Club members) will be required to authorise the Club to retain the data they’ve supplied by signing an agreement on the Application Form or Membership Renewal.
The information will be used by The Club to inform members (and non-members) of Club activities through newsletters, emails and general communications media.
Members’ personal information will be electronically held on a password-controlled membership database. If a member fails to renew after three years, their personal data will be erased.
Data arising from an ACU-regulated Club activity, will be held for four years before being erased.
All infringements of the General Data Protection Act will be reported by The Club, to the ACU within 72 hours.
This policy is effective from May 2018.
